Terms of Service
Last updated October 30, 2026
These terms apply to HomeandHearthBaker.com and to anything you buy here. The website, the Home and Hearth Baker program and the book are published by Home and Hearth Press, an imprint of Tau Publishing, LLC, an Indiana limited liability company (“we” or “us”). By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.
Licensing the program
The program is licensed, not sold, by Tau Publishing, LLC. You pay a one-time license fee; Tau Publishing, LLC keeps all ownership of the program. Payment is through PayPal, which accepts PayPal balances, Venmo and debit and credit cards, under PayPal's own terms. Your card statement will show Tau Publishing, LLC.
The license fee is $119 in U.S. dollars, paid once. Orders from Indiana add 7% Indiana sales tax. After you pay, we email your license key, made out in your name, usually within one business day. Your use of the program is covered by the License: it's licensed to you for your own business, on up to two computers you own, and may not be sold, shared or given away.
Your license includes the new versions and state rule updates we release, at no extra cost. You may try the program free for 30 days before buying a license.
Buying the book
The book, Starting and Building a Home Bakery Business, is sold and shipped by Tau Publishing, LLC, with payment through PayPal. It costs $19.95 with free shipping, and orders shipped to Indiana addresses add 7% Indiana sales tax. We ship to addresses in the United States.
Refunds
Because you can try the program free for 30 days before you buy, all sales are final. We replace damaged or misprinted books. See the Refund Policy.
State rules and other information are not legal advice
Home and Hearth Baker is an educational and record-keeping tool published by Home and Hearth Press, an imprint of Tau Publishing, LLC. It is not legal, tax, or financial advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client or any other professional relationship.
The state regulations in this program summarize cottage food laws, labeling requirements, and related information as of the date shown for each state. Laws, regulations, and agency guidance change, sometimes with little notice, and local governments, health departments, and farmers markets may add their own requirements. We work to keep this information current, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete, accurate, or up to date at any given moment.
You are responsible for confirming the current requirements with your state and local agencies before you make, label, or sell food. Labels created with this program are based on the information you enter; you are responsible for their accuracy, including ingredients and allergens. For legal or tax questions about your business, consult a qualified attorney or accountant.
Our content
The website, the program and the book, including their text, state rule summaries, pictures and design, are protected by copyright and owned by Tau Publishing, LLC. You may print or save pages for your own use, but you may not copy them for others or publish them elsewhere without our written permission.
No guarantee and limits on liability
The website and the program are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we don't promise they will be free of errors or always available, and we are not responsible for losses that come from using them. If we are found responsible for anything, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us.
Indiana law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; the terms in effect when you bought apply to that purchase.
