You agree to these terms when you install Home and Hearth Baker. You can read them in the program any time under Settings, then License key, then License terms.

  1. Licensed to you. Each copy of Home and Hearth Baker is licensed, not sold, to the person or business who paid its one-time license fee, for use in their own home food business. There is no subscription. Your license key carries your name.
  2. Up to two computers. You may install and use your copy on up to two computers that you own or use for your business, such as a desktop and a laptop.
  3. Not to be shared or resold. You may not sell, rent, lend, share or give away the program or your license key, or post either one online. A license key that is shared or sold may be stopped, and it will no longer receive updates.
  4. Updates included. Your license includes the new versions and state rule updates we release, at no extra cost.
  5. Free trial. You may try the program free for 30 days. After that, you need a license key to add, change or print anything. You can always open, back up and export what you entered.
  6. Your information stays with you. Everything you enter is kept on your computer. We don't collect it. The program connects to the internet only when you check for updates, and then it sends nothing about you or your business.
  7. Ownership. Home and Hearth Baker, including its design, text, state rule summaries, help pages, recipes and artwork, is protected by copyright and owned by Tau Publishing, LLC. Your license lets you use the program; it does not give you ownership of it. You may not copy, change, take apart or reverse engineer the program, except as the law allows. What you enter (your recipes, customers and records) belongs to you.
  8. No guarantee. The program is provided as is. Read the notice about state regulations: you are responsible for following the laws that apply to your business. To the extent the law allows, Home and Hearth Press is not responsible for losses that come from using the program, and its responsibility is limited to the license fee you paid.
